Management courses allow a manager to understand every aspect that makes up the business and the different decisions made at every management level. This also ensures that managers are capable of making the right decisions for the business in times of crisis and uncertainty or even better predict future crises. Knowing how the functions of the business are affected by external changes also helps to prevent damage to the business financially and financial management.

Without management courses, there would be few successful managers capable of operating a business in today’s constantly evolving economy. Courses in management studies are important because without the skills needed to compete with competitors and deal with external changes it is easier to fail than succeed. Managers who want to ensure that they are leading their staff to the best of their abilities can take up courses in business studies and improve their current management skills.

Management courses provide managers with the opportunity to improve the competitiveness of their business by providing them with skills that will add as an advantage to their career. Managerial skills are not only used in the business environment but on a day to day basis. Management studies not only help managers to deal with changes in the business environment but also help them to manipulate these changes to benefit the business. The importance of management studies cannot be stressed enough. In a struggling economy businesses need leadership or else they will most likely fail in their ventures.

There are lots of benefits of studying Management courses. A person who is interested in leading an organization and manage people must be aware of Management courses.

i). Goals and values aren’t necessarily the same, but tend to work well when they are aligned.

*values* are ethics. Organisations have Codes of Ethics that members have to abide by. For instance as a registered hypnotherapist I do, too. There is something called iatrogenesis which means using skills to coerce financial and other advantage from a client. I can’t do that, and wouldn’t because of my personal and professional Ethics.

ii). A need is something that invokes an emotional reaction either positive when met or negative when not met

Values are built, over time, around human needs. So we say, for example, that life is the greatest value because we want to live.

iii). Value indicates the worth that is attached to any object, condition, principle or idea. Value is the capacity of something or somebody to satisfy the human desire. These are the ways behind our actions and the basis for setting goals.

Standards are set limits one will accept in working toward a goal. Standards are mental pictures of what is considered essential and necessary to make life satisfying.

How to Apply for the WAEC GCE REGISTRATION

Concerned candidates are hereby informed that the West African Senior School Certificate Examination ( WASSCE) for Private Candidates Second Series registration has commenced 10th June 2020 and will end 25th October 2020.

The examination will be conducted outside the school set up and the date will be communicated in due course. However, thirty-six subjects will be available for registration.

Candidates, however, are advised to visit the Council’s official website— for further detail about the subjects and examination centres available.

You are required to select the state and town you wish to write the examination. The exact centre will be automatically assigned to you by the system.

NOTE:

That you cannot change your examination town after submission.

SUBJECTS SELECTION

Applying candidate must be aware that English Language and Mathematics have been automatically selected for you since they are compulsory. You are, however, required to select the other subjects you wish to register for in this examination. Please note that a minimum of Seven (7) and a maximum of Nine (9) subjects are allowed (English Language and Mathematics inclusive).

REGISTRATION FOR THE EXAMINATION.

Registration for the WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2020 — Second Series—will be done online. After obtaining the Registration PIN, candidates should log on to www.waecnigeria.org for registration.

Candidates should also note that the registration procedure has been designed to accommodate biometric features that will be used for validation at the examination centres

PAYMENT

Candidates are expected to pay a registration fee of Thirteen Thousand, Nine Hundred and Fifty Naira only (N13,950) at branches of any of the following banks or any accredited agent and obtain the registration PIN and the information VCD:

Access Bank Plc;
First Bank of Nig. Ltd;

WALK-IN-CANDIDATES

Candidates who wish to register for the examination after the closure of entries may be accommodated as “Walk-in-Candidates”, provided they register not less than twenty-four hours to the scheduled time of the paper (s) they intend to write. The “Walk-in-Candidates” fee is Thirty Thousand Five Hundred Naira (N30, 500.00), only.

Candidates with Special Needs

Candidates with disabilities will also register online like other candidates but they must clearly state their challenges eg. Blind, low vision, spastic, speech, etc.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Candidates should view the Information VCD before they register for the examination.
Candidates should note that registration fee is not refundable.

3.Candidates should print the examination Timetable at the completion of their registration.

Entries must be uploaded with good quality passport size photographs, not “wait and get” photographs. The background of such photographs MUST NOT BE BLUE OR RED. The size should be 275 by 314 pixels. Entries with unacceptable passport photographs will be rejected.
Candidates should study the Regulations and Syllabuses as well as the Timetable for the examination which they can download from WAEC website (waeconline.org.ng) using the Registration PIN.
Candidates must go to examination halls in mufti and without arms. No professional uniform of any kind will be allowed in the examination halls.
The entire results of candidates who sit the examination in more than one centre will be cancelled.
Smoking is not allowed in the examination hall.
Any candidate that comes into the examination hall with mobile phone(s) and /or electronic gadget(s) will have his or her entire results cancelled.
Candidates must ensure that their entries are correctly completed before uploading as the Council will not be held responsible for errors in candidates’ particulars. Request for correction will NOT BE entertained on any information which a candidate voluntarily gives at the point of registration as soon as the examination commences.
Candidates must come into the examination hall with their original Photo Cards.
Candidates who engage in examination malpractice will not only have their results cancelled but may be prosecuted.
Candidates must ensure they provide a valid email address and telephone number (s) during registration.
All candidates must be prepared to observe all COVID-19 Regulations.

SECONDARY school students have called for a shift in the date of the September 10 governorship election to another date because it clashed with their GCE Mathematics examination.

Apart from clashing with their examination, the students, who stormed the Government House, Benin City in protest, Tuesday, added that holding the examination and the election on the same day would disenfranchise them.

The students also said they would kick against any plan to be moved to other states for the Mathematics examination as planned by WAEC, adding that this would not only disorganise them but also put them at a disadvantage.

Spokesman for the students, Iko Emmanuel Moses said: “Our position about the General Certificate Examination (GCE) in Edo State, the scheduled governorship election on the 10th of September, with a deep sense of regret and pains, we wish to express and oppose the disturbing circumstances surrounding the above examination of this year and its effect on our expected performance in the examination.
